It has long been believed by poster
collectors that the photograph of the woman in this poster is
Josephine Marcus, long time companion of Wyatt Earp. The
artist certainly believed that it was Josephine. As with
anything (we suppose), there are those that dispute this claim.
We choose to not listen to them, we like the idea that it is
Josephine. The original/first print poster was printed prior to the shows, and measures approx. 14" x 20". The ticket outlet info on this poster was printed with black ink. The second print poster, an authorized reprint, measures approx. 14" x 20 3/4". The ticket outlet info on this poster was printed with green ink. The original post card was printed prior to the shows, and measures approx. 5" x 7". Cards exist with both a "place stamp here" and "bulk rate" (some of these were mailed) back. |
