This is one of the classic early psychedelic images, "DIRTY OLD MAN". In many ways it set the stage for all of the wonderful artwork to come.  These were the last of the Family Dog shows at the Fillmore Auditorium.

The original/first poster was printed on thick gray paper stock, and a low quality paper at that.  Most of these posters that survive today are in lesser condition. This poster measures approx.  14 1/8" X 20".  Some original posters have been discovered that were printed on white vellum paper stock (although we have yet to actually see one).  These posters are roughly the same size as those printed on the gray stock.

The second print poster, an authorized reprint, was also printed on a thick gray paper stock (higher quality than the original).  The notation "4(2)" appears in the lower left corner.  This poster measures approx.  14 1/8" X 20", and was most probably printed in 1966.

The third print poster, an authorized reprint, was printed on a relatively thin uncoated index paper stock.  The notation "No. 4-3" appears in the lower right corner.  This poster measures approx.  14 1/8" X 20 1/2", and was most probably printed in 1967.

The third print poster was forged.  This unauthorized/bootleg poster was printed on thicker stock than the third print poster, and is about 3/8" wider.  As is the case with most bootlegs, the details of this poster are of lower quality.

The original handbill was printed prior to the shows on very thin paper, and measures approx.  5 1/2" X  8 1/2".
