Sixties Posters Family Dog Poster FD-29 Big Brother & the Holding Company

	This is one of the classic images of the psychedelic era, featuring the logo for JOB rolling papers. In this case she has green hair. The original/first print poster was printed on vellum paper stock, and measures approx. 14 1/8" x 20". It bears "The Bindweed Press, San Francisco" printing credit in the lower right corner. 2,000 of these posters were printed. There is a wide variation of green ink in the woman's hair, and some originals missed the green ink, giving the woman platinum blond hair. The second print poster was printed on vellum paper stock, and measures approx. 14 1/8" x 20". It also bears the Bindweed printing credit, and also bears the notation "29(2)" in the lower left corner. 1,000 of these posters were printed, fewer than the original printing, and were most probably printed within a few weeks of the shows. The third print poster was printed on uncoated index paper stock, and measures approx. 14" x 20". It does not bear the Bindweed printing credit, and bears the notation "29(3)" in the lower left corner. It was most probably printed in 1967. A forgery of this poster was printed in the 1970's. It does not bear the Bindweed printing credit, but bears a "San Francisco Poster Co" credit in the lower right corner. The printing of this poster is not an authorized printing. There are several different variations of the original handbill, which were printed prior to the shows on very thin paper. They measure approx. 8 1/2" x 11".
