This is the first San Francisco appearance of the 13th Floor Elevators, a
legendary psychedelic band out of Texas.
The original/first print poster was printed on vellum paper stock, and measures
approx. 14 1/4" X 20". It bears "The Bindweed Press, San Francisco"
printing credit in the lower right portion of the poster.
The second print poster, an authorized reprint, was also printed on vellum
paper stock that is noticeably thicker than the stock used for the first print
posters. This poster measures approx. 14 1/4" X 20". The notation
"No. 24-2"
appears in the lower right corner, and the Bindweed printing credit does not
appear. This poster was most probably printed in 1967.
The original handbill was printed prior to the shows on very thin paper, and
measures approx. 9 1/2" X 12 1/2" (with the exception of Type D, as
noted below). This handbill exists in four distinct variations as follows:
Type A is a pinkish color with an I. D. magazine page on the back
Type B is a darker reddish color than Type A, I. D. magazine page on the back
Type C matches Type B, but has a blank back
Type D was printed on a coarse salmon colored paper with red ink. It
measures approx. 8 1/4" X 12", and has a blank back
