The original/first print poster was
printed prior to the shows on vellum paper stock, and measures
approx. 14" x 20". The letters of the word
"EARTHQUAKE" contain fine blue lines that separate the letters.
1,000 of these posters were printed. The second print poster, an authorized reprint, was printed shortly after the shows on uncoated index paper stock. There are three variations as follows, This poster, Type A, measures approx. 14 1/4" x 20 1/2". The letters of the word "EARTHQUAKE" have the same characteristics as the first print poster. This poster, Type B, measures approx. 14 1/4" x 20 1/2". The letters of the word "EARTHQUAKE" do not have fine blue lines separating the letters. This poster, Type C, measures approx. 14 1/4" x 21", and matches the Type B poster, save the added length. The third print poster, an authorized reprint, was printed in 1986 by Mouse & Kelley. This hand printed silk screen measures approx. 20" x 26" (5" x 7" post cards were also printed at this time). The fourth print poster, an authorized reprint, was printed by Pomegranate Press in the 1990's. It measures approx. 13" x 15". This poster was forged in the early 1970's by the "San Francisco Poster Co.". This printing credit appears on the poster, which is green & red in color. The original handbill was printed prior to the shows on very thin paper, and measures approx. 8 1/2" x 11". There are two variations, Type A Red ink on blue paper Type B Red ink on white paper |
