This is a very popular poster, due to the fact that these were the first Grateful Dead appearances at the Avalon Ballroom.

The original/first print poster was printed on vellum paper stock, and measures approx.  14" X 20".  A union logo printing credit (#72) appears in the lower right corner of the poster.

The second print poster, an authorized reprint, was printed on uncoated index stock.  The notation "No. 10-2" appears in the lower left corner. This poster measures approx.  14 1/8" X 20 1/2", and was most probably printed in 1967.

The original handbill was printed prior to the shows on very thin paper, and measures approx.  5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  This is one of the rarest of the Family Dog handbills.
