A very historic set of shows.  This is the first Fillmore appearance of Jimi Hendrix. These shows were just days after Jimi's appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival, where he absolutely electrified the audience.  Jimi drew third billing here, but after the opening night's shows both the Airplane & Gabor Szabo approached Bill Graham, insisting that Hendrix be the closing (not the opening) act.

Printing records confirm that this poster was printed just once, prior to the shows, however this poster was forged at a later date.  The unauthorized/bootleg poster looks nothing like the original.  It is black line work on white paper, printed with a split fountain color technique (purple at the top, yellow in the middle & blue/green at the bottom).
This poster measures 14 3/4" X 22".

The original postcard was printed prior to the shows, and has a place stamp here reverse.  It measures approx.  4 1/2" X 7".

A double postcard was printed of this image and BG 68.  It measures approx.  9" X 7".  There are several variations of the double cards, with different backs. If there is one variation in particular that you are seeking, please send us an
email or give us a phone call.
