After designing the lion's share of
the first 61 Fillmore posters, this was Wes Wilson's last psychedelic
BG poster. He and Bill Graham had a falling out. Wes
thought Bill was only interested in money (as is evidenced in this
design), and he also thought that he was irreplaceable. History
has proven otherwise, but at the time Wes was "the guy".
The original/first poster has three different variations, the characteristics
of which are as follows,
This original poster (we will call it Type A) matches the colors
of the image on the website, green at the top, pink at the bottom.
This original poster (we will call it Type B) also has green at
the top and pink at the bottom, but the middle color is yellow.
This poster was printed very early in the run, and at some point
the color was changed, the yellow removed.
This original poster (we will call it Type C) is black & white,
no color.
All three variations of the first print poster measure approx.
14" x 23", and are printed on identical paper stock.
The second print poster, an authorized reprint, has a completely
different color scheme with a chocolate brown background.
It is identical in size to the original posters.
The original postcard, printed prior to the shows, comes in several
variations with several different backings.
Cards are as follows:
Type A matches the colors of the first print poster and is green
to pink
Type B is all green
Type C is all pink
Type D is black and white only
All original cards measure approx. 4 5/8" x 8". If there is
a particular variation that you are wanting, please send us an email
or give us a call.
The second print postcard matches the color scheme of the second
print poster. It measures approx. 4 5/8" x 8".
