The original/first print poster was
printed prior to the shows, and measures approx. 14" x 24 1/2".
The border on this poster is different shades of reddish brown,
and the paper stock is relatively thin (ranging from
.0060"-.0080"). These characteristics match the original
handbill. The second print poster, an authorized reprint, measures approx. 14" x 24 3/4". The border of this poster is much darker than that of the original, giving it an almost black look. The paper used to print this poster is noticeably thicker than that of the original, very similar to the paper used to print BG originals, 54-149. These characteristics match the post card. The original handbill was printed prior to the shows, and measures approx. 4 1/2" x 8". We identify two different variations, as follows, Type A Very thin paper, .0060" Type B Somewhat thicker paper, .0080" The post card was printed shortly after these shows, and measures approx. 4 1/4" x 8". Bill Graham authorized the printing of all of the BG post cards. |
