Definitely one of the classic images of the psychedelic era, "THE SOUND". Included in this series were the first of the Bill Graham shows over at Winterland, a larger venue that Bill would use regularly for the more popular bookings.

There are three variations of the original/first print poster, the characteristics of which are as follows,

This first print poster (we will call it Type A) is black and white.  It measures approx.  14" X 24 1/2"

This first print poster (we will call it Type B) has the woman's figure, and the words "THE SOUND" outlined in a purple/pink (magenta) color.  It measures approx.  13 1/2" X 24 1/2"

This first print poster (we will call it Type C) has the woman's figure, and the words "THE SOUND" outlined in a true purple color.  It measures approx. 13 1/2" X 24 1/2".

The second print poster was printed in early 1967 by West Coast Litho.  The lime green background of this authorized reprint is a deeper/darker shade than the third print poster, and matches the color of the postcard that was printed at the same time.  This poster measures approx.  13 1/4" X 24 1/4".

The third print poster was printed later in 1967, or 1968, by Creative Litho.  The lime green background of this authorized reprint is a lighter shade than the second print poster, and matches the color of the postcard that was printed at the same time.  This poster measures approx.  13 1/4" X 24 1/4".

The original blank back handbill was printed prior to the shows, and measures approx. 5" X  8 1/2".  The Type A, B & C handbills match the colors of the Type A, B & C original/first print posters.

There were two different printings of the postcards, one with the second print poster (which we will call it Type A) which has a West Coast Litho credit on the back, and another one that was printed with the third print posters (which we will call Type B).  This card has a Creative Litho printing credit on the back.  Both cards are approx. the same size, although the Type A card is 1/8" or so longer than the Type B.
